Washington, D.C. — MFA announced its Board of Directors for the 2027 term today, made up of senior leaders from across the alternative asset management industry. The Board’s tenure began October 1, 2026.
Mark Sullivan, Head of Hedge Fund Group at Wellington Management, will serve as Chair of the MFA Board of Directors. Sullivan, who currently serves as Vice Chair, will succeed Jody Gunderson, Managing Principal of AB CarVal. Sona Gohel, Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Davidson Kempner Capital Management, was elected to serve as Vice Chair.
“Jody leaves MFA a stronger and more influential organization,” said Bryan Corbett, MFA President and CEO. “Mark and Sona step into these roles as policymakers rethink the rules governing our markets. Under their leadership, MFA will continue its work to advance policies that enable alternative asset managers to raise capital, invest, and deliver returns for their beneficiaries, including pensions, foundations, and endowments.”
