MFA statement on UK announcement to eliminate duplicative reporting rules

London, UK – MFA issued the following statement in response to Rachel Reeves’ announcement that HM Treasury would work to eliminate redundant MiFID reporting requirements.

Reducing compliance burdens by eliminating redundant and costly requirements is a crucial step toward enhancing market efficiency and strengthening the UK’s competitiveness as a global financial centre. This should include simplifying dual-sided financial transaction reporting requirements. MFA will continue working with policymakers as they cut red tape and drive economic growth.” Rob Hailey, MFA Head of EMEA Government Affairs
