MFA supports CFTC proposal to eliminate dual registration for qualifying private fund managers

Washington, D.C. — MFA Chief Legal Officer Jennifer Han issued the following statement in support of the CFTC’s proposal to eliminate duplicative registration requirements for qualifying SEC-regulated private fund managers:

“MFA applauds Chairman Selig for advancing a proposal to eliminate duplicative registration for qualifying SEC-regulated private fund managers. The proposed reforms would cut unnecessary regulatory costs while preserving appropriate oversight of derivatives markets. We look forward to working with the Commission to advance a durable framework that supports capital formation and economic growth.”Jennifer Han, MFA Chief Legal Officer
