Jesse Westbrook is Vice President, Communications at MFA, where he leads strategic communications, marketing, and media engagement. He brings more than two decades of experience in journalism and high-stakes communications to amplify MFA’s voice across multiple platforms.
Before joining MFA, Jesse was a Managing Director at Narrative Strategies, a Washington, D.C.-based firm, where he developed and executed communications strategies for clients facing complex challenges. His work focused on crisis management, policy messaging, advocacy campaigns, and reputation management.
Previously, Jesse spent nearly 20 years at Bloomberg News, holding senior editorial roles including Managing Editor for U.S. Finance, Team Leader of Financial Regulatory News, and Chief European Hedge Fund Correspondent. He helped drive coverage of major financial events such as the 2008 financial crisis, the European sovereign debt crisis, and the 2021 meme stock phenomenon.
Jesse earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Science in Print Journalism from Northwestern University.
