Pia Del Carpio

Pia Del Carpio serves as a Research Analyst at MFA, where she supports the Head of Research in developing and executing the organization’s strategic research initiatives. In her role, she collects, analyzes, and interprets economic and financial data to inform MFA’s policy positions and highlight the industry’s contributions to institutional investors such as pension plans, endowments, and foundations. She also assists in preparing research publications, briefing notes, and analytical materials that communicate MFA’s insights to policymakers, members, and the broader financial community.

Prior to joining MFA, Pia led independent academic research projects conducting applied econometric analysis and developing predictive models using Python, R, and Stata. She was recognized for her strong academic performance and selected to enhance the clarity and alignment of economics assessments through targeted revisions and analysis, resulting in improved student engagement and critical thinking. 

Pia earned her Master of Science in Quantitative Economics and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
